Economic News Calendar
While Capitalist Nation may one day have its own super-cool financial news calendar, I saw no reason to reinvent the wheel right now.
Therefore, I’ve linked to 3 great calendars I use. If you know of a news calendar that’s as good or better than these, please contact me.
Please note: I am not endorsing any of the content on these sites. I am simply pointing you to a function they offer.
DailyFX.com
At this time, the DailyFX economic calendar is my favorite from a graphical perspective. It’s along the lines of what I was working on for Capitalist Nation. The information is easy to read and they use country flags in the currency column. Also the impact indicators are easy-to-read graphics that specifically say low, medium and high.
You can click on an event to view their commentary.

ForexFactory.com
While not really Web 2.0 or graphical in nature, the Forex calendar at Forex Factory is very good. There are a lot of events listed and tons of detail. If you want more features and options in an economic calendar, then this would be the one to use. Aside from the normal stuff, this calendar also offers charts, history and related items.
I think it’s a good calendar to use when you’re trying to learn about a news event and its effect on the market.

FX360.com
This economic calendar is nice and clean. It’s presented in a simple list view with GMT time, currency, event and forecasts. You can export it to PDF and Excel also. FX360 also uses red, yellow and blue for impact indicators with red being the highest and blue being the lowest.
You can click on the news event to get more information about it.
